The Saxophone Ensemble at Blue Springs South is a relatively new ensemble. Consisting of students who play saxophone and other students in the band program looking to learn saxophone also. This ensemble doesn't require a formal audition and is extra-curricular, meeting two nights a week. 

Music repertoire for the Saxophone Ensemble is typically in the more advanced area of high school music and also exposes students to transcriptions from choir, orchestra, and opera mediums. 

 

The Blue Springs South Saxophone Ensemble aims to perform at least twice during the spring semester with one concert being at Blue Springs South and the other being a collaboration concert with another university ensemble.
