Uniforms are Managed by Angelica Saddler and Maryann Lutes. Under their direction, students are scheduled for fittings for school marching uniforms, competitive uniforms, and concert band uniforms each year. Fittings are a large area where parent volunteers can help with uniforms. You do not need sewing experience, but should be comfortable measuring students accurately.

During football games and marching band competitions, uniforms travel on large carts. Parent volunteers are used to assist students in distributing uniforms and in keeping the carts organized and accessible.

Parents volunteering with the field crew assist in moving show props on and off the field before and after performances. Our competitive shows often feature large props, tarps, and more items that need to be moved, maintained, and packed for travel.

The Front Ensemble section of the band has many large instruments, pieces of audio equipment and props that need to be transported on and off the field before and after our competitive performances. When pushing-on as a band, there is limited time to travel on and off the field at a competition. It is crucial that volunteers work with a sense of urgency and closely follow any directions given by directors or department leaders.

KC Championships is our home marching band festival that we host each fall. This day is all hands on deck for us as an organization, and we are always looking for parent volunteers to help the day go smoothly. General volunteer positions include: working as ushers during performances; parking assistance; concessions; and managing different areas of the facilities. There is a volunteer opportunity for everyone at this event.
